Picture of Frank DelzioFrank Delzio was born in Spain, and spent his time growing up in some of the culinary capitals of Europe. The son of an American diplomat, Frank was exposed to fine dining at an early age, and his love of food and wine quickly developed into his chosen profession.

After earning a Hotelerie Degree from the Centre International de Glion in Switzerland, Frank returned with his family to the US, and served as assistant purchasing director of Windows on the World, general manager and consultant for the Hudson River Club and Edward Moran Bar and Grill (all in New York City), and as a general manager for the Hard Rock Café chain—working in New York and London and assisting in the openings of the corporation’s Dallas, Iceland, and Cancun locations. In Los Angeles, Frank was the opening manager of the high-volume Broadway Deli and the award-winning JiRaffe Restaurant, both in Santa Monica.

In 2001, Frank opened Josie Restaurant with his wife and partner Josie Le Balch, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, experience, and classic European training. Under his guidance, the restaurant has received numerous accolades for both its exceptional guest service and its award-winning wine program, the latter of which has received Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence every year since the restaurant has been open.
